Glendale Fire Department Announces 2009 Firefighter Of The Year Jeremy Krossman, Firefighter of the Year 2009
The Glendale Fire Department has named Firefighter Jeremy Krossman as its Firefighter of the Year for 2009.  The announcement came Thursday, April 1th, during the Glendale Fire Department’s 22nd Annual Awards Ceremony.
Firefighter Krossman, a five year veteran, was nominated for his dedication in the community by his peers.
2009 was a reflection of Jeremy’s career-long commitment to service. During the past year, Jeremy has given hundreds of off duty hours in a multitude of ways and in several community efforts such as “Read Across America”, Glendale Fire’s toy and clothing drive, fund raising efforts for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and the American Cancer Society.
Part of his nomination read, “It is important to note that Jeremy gave freely of his time to all of those above mentioned programs; volunteering his time selflessly in order to serve others. Jeremy Krossman is the epitome of what it means to be a Glendale Firefighter.”

These men all worked with the “Git’ ‘er done!” attitude. They were always alert to what needed to be done and did with the least amount of direction. All should be commended, not only for a job well done, but for having represented the Glendale Fire Department Cadet Program in the best possible light. I look forward to our next event at which I can again work with these young firemen.

Great Job!

 Hi Chief Wayne, (Tim)
Just wanted you to know how pleased the Glendale Ambassadors are with the way your cadets took care of us at the January 16th Glitter and Glow event.  I personally can't think of a time since the GFD cadet's have been providing service for us that they have been more helpful and attentive.  To the man, they were a total pleasure to work with; polite, professional, hard working, and always on the task at hand before being asked.
Please relay to the Glitter and Glow cadet crew our most sincerest appreciation and deepest gratitude for a job well done.
Hopefully, I have all of their names right:
Scott Gregory
Michael Pompa
Curtis Gregory
Brandon White
Josh Slagle
 Great Job!!!!
 Very best regards,
